Shrek, The Musical, TD & Designer, Wylie High School
This production featured a large number of set pieces, the orchestra was positioned on top of the ruins of the silhouetted dragon’s keep and castle. We also painted a translucent drop also that filled the stage to depict the swamp/forest. The backside of the drop can be illuminated to change the time of the day, resembling a sunrise or sunset as the skyline’s colors become noticeable.
Guys and Dolls, TD & Designer, Wylie High School
This was the first musical that I worked on at Wylie. Pictured below are forced prospective of flats that would become facades for various buildings in the outdoor NYC scenes.

Clue: The Musical, TD & Scenic Designer, Theatre West, Scottsbluff, NE
This musical is based off the well-known board game, Clue. I wanted the props and scenery to look like they were part of a life-sized game board, complete with the back of the box as the backdrop and the floor with grid marks intended for pieces to be moved. To create the rooms, I used four-sided periaktoi, when combined would become a given rooms of the mystery game.

Nuncrackers, TD & Scenic Designer, Theatre West, Scottsbluff, NE
This play sequel is set in the basement of a Catholic church where the nuns produce their Christmas program. The orchestra is located on the platform above the set.
